Mohandass Kannan is from Owensboro, Kentucky. He is triple majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and double minoring in Mathematics and Business. He is a member of the Lewis Honors College, specifically the Scholars in Engineering and Management (SEAM) pathway.
Mohandass has completed an Information Technology internship with the City of Bowling Green in Bowling Green, KY. During this time, he supported the department in operational tasks, facilitated hardware and software installations, and maintained city infrastructure including ground outlets, security cameras, and emergency call buttons in fire stations. He will be interning at HUDL as a software engineering intern in the summer of 2026, where he will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to modernize microservices architecture and build advanced analytical tools for sports professionals. He also serves as Community Relations Manager on the Engineering Student Council and as a Lewis Honors College Peer Mentor and Launch Leader, while volunteering at the Carnegie Center for Literacy.
Mohandass's hobbies include playing video games, watching sports (soccer, basketball, and UFC), and hanging out with his friends. Mohandass is pursuing a career in software engineering, hoping to develop cutting edge technology that helps people.
