Students who choose UK Pigman Engineering frequently say that visiting campus was the biggest factor in their decision. The welcoming atmosphere, abundance of support, and engineering clubs and activities make this a close-knit community.
Engineering Grand Tours are three-hour events held most Monday afternoons from mid-September through April. Grand Tours will resume in September 2026.
The Engineering Open House is a daylong event held once a semester on a Saturday. The fall open house will take place on November 7, 2026.
In addition to coming to campus for an engineering visit, we encourage seeing the rest of our beautiful campus as well. The UK Visitor Center offers general information sessions and campus tours Monday through Friday (and select Saturdays) all year long.

The Pigman College of Engineering Ambassador Program consists of a highly select group of undergraduate engineering students dedicated to the promotion of the Pigman College and the University of Kentucky. Ambassadors work recruitment events, answer prospective student questions and highlight the amazing opportunities available at UK and in the engineering program. Engineering Ambassadors also support the college with various activities such as E-Day, orientations, alumni functions and other special events.
